We handle our foals the moment they are born if possible as they are born in the pasture (160 + acres)... We then let them learn their horse manners with the herd outside.
We feel its very important for a foal to be in a herd at this stage. They are checked on a daily basis so they are used to seeing people. We wean our foals at 4 months old. We do not put a halter on our foals until we wean them, at that point we work on training them to lead, trailer load & stand tied before they leave the ranch to their new homes. We can usually accommodate delivery when the foals are weaned and paid in full, just let us know where you live and we can let you know if we can deliver to you.
If your wanting to do all the halter training your self please let us know, we can leave them un-touched for you to do the training how you like.
Remember: Deposits on foals and horses are non-refundable if you change your mind, lose your job, etc. Please make sure that you really want and can afford the foal before you pay a deposit. We accept credit card through Paypal, buyer will be responsible for paying all paypal service fees, we also accept cash & certified or cashier checks. If mailing a check we ask that it be mailed with a tracking number so that we can verify that the payment was sent.
