Hammer Horses is located 22 miles South East of BURNS OREGON off of HWY 78.
We do what we do because we enjoy helping others to find the horse they have always dreamed of owning. A horse that you can enjoy no matter what your discipline is. We strive to sell horses that are safe; that are easy on the eyes and act sane doing their job. We choose disciplines for the horse according to what he/she will access at and what he/she enjoys doing, not what we want to make them do for us. What we like to have offered for sale on the ranch are registered AQHA and APHA horses. The most important thing above all to us, is they must be kind and gentle. They should also have good conformation and they must be sound.
We raise registered AQHA horses. We are very selective about the mares we keep on the ranch as broodmares. They must have kind dispositions which is very important to us. I will not use a mare that acts marish or is mean as we believe a foals disposition is strongly influenced by the the mare that raises it. All mares have to have correct conformation, good bone and strait legs. Each mare we have has a different pedigree which you can see on our broodmares page. We will not raise a foal that we ourselves would not want to keep.

Since we have started a family of our own we have really taken a step back from raising horses and offering riding horses. We are trying to focus on family. We might still occasionally offer something so stay tuned.

Meet Us:
Picture
Amanda-
I started riding when I was 5 years old, and since then you can't get me away from horses! Horses are what I look forward to every morning and my passion in life. I love what I do and can't imagine life doing anything different. I get a ton of satisfaction selling a horse to someone who will enjoy it- give it a great home and ride it giving it a purpose in life.

Derek-
Derek didn't grow up with horses or get his first horse until he was out of school and on his own. Derek's dream as a kid was to be a cowboy and now he is living that dream. We are truly blessed!
